2021 - Time For a Break From it All

After a long and challenging year, we’re all ready to take a well-earned break. With vaccines in the pipeline, increased knowledge about COVID-19 and improved safety and sanitation measures across the industry, there are plenty of reasons to make use of your passports once again in 2021.

Should you book a break now?

The short answer is yes - there’s potential to not be able to book later or face steep price increases! For breaks abroad, 2021 will see a reduced number of seats flying out, and low capacity means higher prices as breaks are booked up, so planning ahead now will save you money later. In the UK staycation market was thriving last year and is set to explode once again, as holidaymakers anticipations are at an all time high. Most suppliers allow you to book in advance with a low deposit, so you can make your plans, and pay further down the road.

What if something has affected your booking?

As per ABTA and ATOL protections if your break is affected by unforeseeable circumstances, Inspire’s Confidence Guarantee is in place to ensure that you have peace of mind, with booking protection that allows you to choose your next steps. If changes need to be made to your booking, you have the freedom of choice; whether you’d like to change your dates, destination, or cancel for a full refund, all hassle-free and without any admin fees – your safety and satisfaction takes priority.

Will Brexit affect where you can go?

It’s very unlikely! The UK has now agreed visa-free travel for short visits, so you may spend up to 90 days in EU countries in any 180 period with any valid uk passport - enough for even the most extravagant of breaks. Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus and Romania are exempt from this rule and allow unrestricted visa-free travel. As long as your current passport is less than 10 years old, and has six months left before it runs out, it will remain valid. Additionally, if you have a European Health Card it is still valid until expiry date, and a replacement Global Health Insurance Card is currently in the works.

Where should you go in 2021?

Need to get away right now? Everyone is legally permitted to travel overseas, but it is not advised under the restrictions. When you’re in the position to travel we’d recommend a break to Dubai, which doesn’t have a quarantine restriction for UK travellers at this time. You can currently Discover Dubai's luxurious offerings with 7 nights for less than £500pp!

Got a soft spot for a secluded staycation? There are plenty of luxury locations available for a quiet break in picturesque locations around the UK, from bubbling hot tub lodgeretreats nestled deep in the forest to quirky beach huts with stunning sea views.

Looking for Summer sun? The Canary Islands are always a sure-fire way to enjoy the sun, sea and sand. As one of the most popular destinations for UK holidaymakers there’s plenty of all inclusive packages to choose from, many of which with free child places - for now!

How about something completely different? Bucket list travel is going to be a big trend for the year as people don’t want to wait any longer follow their dreams. This month there are some deep discounts available on small group adventure tours in places you’ve only dreamed of.
